Green Lantern to slip on the ring next spring?

For me, this is closer to truth than rumor. Whatever this is, I’m happy to have it out in the air; Green Lantern will be shooting in spring of 2009. This makes some sense because Warner Brothers are planning a change in direction, deciding to a) reboot the Superman film series, making it dark a la The Dark Knight and b) introduce all of their big DC properties in their own solo films.
The question is, who will be playing the Green Lantern? Right now, all we have is rapper-turned-actor Common, who was cast in the fan-hated, troubled movie Justice League: Mortal. There are no casting rumors otherwise, so unless casting announcements show up soon, we can file this under shenanigans.
