Screenwriter for Spiderman 5 and 6 found

It seems that even though production has not yet kicked off on Spiderman 4 the guys over at Sony Pictures have already got their eye on further sequels
Over on Variety they are reporting that James Vanderbilt has signed on to handle the scripts for Spiderman 5 and 6. It seems some of th reasoning behind this is that the two films will have an interconnecting plot (sounds interesting).
As far as Spiderman 4 goes production is due to kick off early next year for a May 2011 release.
I think given some of the recent successes in comic book films since we had Spiderman 3 came out Spiderman 4 is going to have a lot of competition this time round.
