JJ Abrams’ Undercovers – Trailer

This is being touted as Alias meets Mr and Mrs Smith and after watching the preview I’d say that was pretty spot on.
I have to say though found it hard to feel sorry for this couple who have lost their spark. So let me get this straight you both look like fashion models, you run a kick ass catering business and have stacks of cash…yeah must really suck to be you. Anyway it’s all good once the action kicks in and there’s a some good one liners and dialogue in there.
My worry though is the whole spy/normal life thing has been done to death with True Lies,Alias, Chuck,My Own Worst Enemy and Mr and Mrs Smith so I wonder if this show can give us a fresh spin on it. Well even if it doesn’t it looks fun enough to keep watching.

Yeeeeeah, I might dig this.
I don’t care about all the action, suspense and comedy, though. I just want to know what happens to the restaurant.

“Alias meets Mr. And Mrs. Smith”
Isn’t that redundant?

No, it isn’t, really.

Nothing will ever compare to Lost but this looks really good.

Well, it looks interesting, but I’m not sure how sustainable it will be. Alias was fantastic, and beyond the espionage was all of the Rambaldi stuff which was the most interesting part for me, gave the show an edge. Does seem difficult to feel sorry for them though when their new life was one a lot of people would love to have. Still, could be entertaining once we get past their pity party. Handsome SOBs.
