Duke Nukem still alive!

Gaming website Kotaku has repeated a rumor that Gearbox Software (the studio behind BORDERLANDS) is continuing development of DUKE NUKEM FOREVER. (i’ll wait while all you pick up your jaws)
The story of the long development took a bad turn when its studio, 3D Realms, shut down in 2009. Publisher Take Two Interactive later sued 3D Realms when it failed to have the game finished within a reasonable time frame (i guess over a decade is kinda unreasonable).
A spokesperson for Take Two Interactive confirmed that the company still holds the publishing rights to the title, but refused to comment about the game’s development.
Gearbox Software president Randy Pitchford declined to comment on the matter.
So after YEARS and YEARS of development hell Duke Nukem might finally be getting some traction!
It’s time to kick ass and chew bubble gum… and I’m all outta gum
