Does Harrison Ford Want to Off Indy?

Say it ain’t so! Rumors abound of Harrison Ford taking up the role of Indiana Jones once more but according to a story from ShowBizSpy, the actor most famously known by us geeks as Indiana Jones and Han Solo in the Star Wars franchise has reportedly told George Lucas and Stephen Spielberg that he wants to kill off the sarcastic adventurer in the last film!
“Harrison thinks it would be good for Indy to die and pass on his hat to his son in the next one. George especially is resisting the notion but Steven is considering it. Funnily enough Harrison wanted the same for Han Solo in the final Star Wars but George put an end to it. This time he doesn’t have all the say though.”
It’s not the first time that Ford has wanted a character he’s played to bite the dust as he clashed with Lucas on the fate of Han Solo. However, Harrison Ford lost that fight, so who knows how this will play out. On the one hand, he can’t play Indy forever but maybe it would be better to have the last movie be the final without Jones shoving off this mortal coil.
