HTC Unveils A New Smart Phone Line Up At MWC 2011

Posted by geeksyndicate on February 15, 2011

HTC have just unveiled a whole load of new phones that they will be releasing over the next year.

HTC ChaCha and HTC Salsa, a pair of social networking phones with deep Facebook integration, and new superior editions of their top phones of 2010 – HTC Desire S, HTC Incredible S, HTC Wildfire S. Plus a 7 inch Tablet called the HTC Flyer

I have a HTC Desire and i love it. Personally i think it’s better then the iPhone so the news that there will be a updated model coming along soon is great!

However the big news it that HTC are going to be releasing a 7inch Tablet device similar to the iPad. i have been holding off buying a tablet device until the second/third generation came along. Well it looks like i found my device!

HTC Flyer

The Spec for the Flyer are:

Weight: 415g
Screen: 7-inch 1024×600 pixel
Processor: single core 1.5 Ghz
Ram: 1GB Ram
OS: Android 2.4 Gingerbread at launch, Android 3.0 Honeycomb imminently.
OS overlay: HTC Sense
Connectivity: HSPA/GSM
Web support: Flash 10 and HTML 5.

So the screen is smaller then the iPad, but the Proc is better and no doubt the device will be able to take SD cards to up the capacity. Plus it’s on Android, the best mobile OS out there (my opinion)

Here is the Official Video from HTC

And here we have the first hands on video with the HTC Flyer and it looks GREAT!

And here are the pics of the other phones!

What a great selection, I’m not sure about the 7″ tablet though I might go a for 10″, frankly we’re spoilt for choice with all these shiny things.
