Capcom have announced a brand new Marvel Vs. Capcom game with an ‘Ultimate’ update! Fans of the series will now be able to play all their favourite Ultimate Marvel characters. This update will add 12 new characters to the franchise, bringing the total up to 50 playable heroes and villains.
One new confirmed character from Marvel is Hawkeye, who’s moves will include ‘Quick Shot’ and ‘Kiss of Fire’. Ghost Rider has also been confirmed, who will bring the ‘Conviction Slam’ and ‘Spirit of Vengeance’. There are several characters who are rumoured to be announced later in the year from Marvel’s extensive database. These are: Dr. Strange, Iron Fist, Nova and Rocket Racoon.
Capcom’s new character roster will include Firebrand (Ghosts and Goblins), who will inflict damage with Demon missiles and Dark fire. The final character announced is Strider Hiryu (first appeared in Strider for the Genesis console). His moves will include Ame-No-Murakumo and Ouruboros, which both sound very cool. The four characters rumoured to be included from Capcom are: Frank West, Nemesis, Pheonix Wright and Vergil.
Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom will be on shelves in November 2011 for the PS3 and XBOX 360.
