The Possession – First Poster Released

Posted by geeksyndicate on May 10, 2012

Another freaky poster for an equally freaky sounding horror film that something tells me I won’t be seeing (Nuge = coward extreme).

So after Spiders (or let’s face it anything that a creepy crawlie), Clowns (show me a funny clown and I’ll show you a nightmarish killer waiting to be born, creepy ‘children of cor’n looking kids and more I can now add this poster to the list of thing that freak me the hell out. Although to be fair the whole ‘kids being possessed’ is way up on my list of films to avoid…yes I scare easily and I’m proud of it. No seriously if they ever do a reboot of the Scooby Doo movies I plan on applying for the role of Shaggy or the voice of Scooby…FACT!

Produced by Sam Raimi ‘The Possession’ is the terrifying story of how one family must unite in order to survive the wrath of an unspeakable evil. Clyde (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and Stephanie Brenek (Kyra Sedgwick)  see little cause for alarm when their youngest daughter Em becomes oddly obsessed with an antique wooden box she purchased at a yard sale. But as Em’s behavior becomes increasingly erratic, the couple fears the presence of a malevolent force in their midst, only to discover that the box was built to contain a dibbuk, a dislocated spirit that inhabits and ultimately devours its human host.

Hang on Jeffery Dean Morgan aka John Winchester from Supernatural???? wow you would have thoughT after what happened to his wife at the start of that show he would have learnt his lesson. Fingers crossed on a cameo from Sam and Dean.

  1. I’m with you on clowns and creepy kids, just add living dolls to the mix and my head is well under the duvet!
