I love the Summer Olympics and will be glued to my TV (more than I already am) to take in as many events as I can. I’m not the only one of course; people across the globe tuned in to the goings on in London, especially its citizens.
To that end, around 8PM throughout the games, BBC One is launching its new Original British Drama campaign. The campaign will give a sneak preview of the brand new original British drama coming up – and Merlin is one of the shows to be featured!
Danny Cohen, Controller, BBC One says: “The London 2012 London Olympics provides a rare and unique opportunity to showcase some of BBC One’s very best forthcoming programmes to our audiences.” And with the kind of ratings that our favorite wizard brings in, it’s no surprise that it’s on the list. The trailer airing in August features Muse’s “Knights of Cydonia” – appropriate song for a show with knights, no? Check it out and let us know your thoughts!
