Studio-Canal are delighted to finally bring this astonishing story of the missing Congo expedition to UK audiences, and the findings of the Cryptozoological Society to audiences around the world. The film features stunning recovered footage of creatures thought to be extinct for 65 million years.Upcoming this month from Studio-Canal is the release of The Dinosaur Project. It’ll be in UK Cinemas from August 10th and out on BD/DVD August 27th.
The Dinosaur Project is a ‘lost footage’ style surrounding the ill-fated, eponymous 2011 expedition to the Congo in search of the Mokele Mbembe. With the rumours of dinosaurs being alive and well in the Congo, the intrepid reporters from Sky News headed over to Africa to find out exactly what’s going on, and to meet the team charged with the duty of finding out once and for all, if dinosaurs live.
As an out-and-out fan of this handy-cam / lost footage / documentary style of movie making, I for one am looking forward to this very novel & original take on the genre, in what could be Chronicle crossed with Primeval, and a little style of Blair Witch thrown in!
