R.I.P Brit Director Tony Scott: 1944 – 2012

Posted by silverfox1967 on August 20, 2012

Director of The Hunger, Top Gun & Man of Fire Tony Scott takes his own life.

Total shock in the film world due to the loss of brilliant British director Tony Scott, who committed suicide some hours ago. He left a note and the event happened on a  bridge in Los Angeles.

In recent years, Tony had gained equal standing and as much well-deserved praise & profile as his famous brother Ridley, and in this reporter’s view, has given the world some brilliant films including Enemy of the State, Crimson Tide, The Last Boy Scout and cult favourite True Romance.

It’s sad to think that there will be no more Tony Scott films – our condolences go out to his family, and Tony, if you never felt appreciated, our profound collective thanks for all the wonderful films you made…
