First Trailer for Death Race Inferno

Posted by philhobden on August 20, 2012

Roel Reiné  is the king of Direct to DVD sequels of much bigger original movies.  From Scorpion King (Reiné directed Part 3) to Death Race (part 2),this is the man to call on if you need an action packed but lower budgeted follow-up to your movie.
So no wonder the producers came a calling once more when the script for Death Race: Inferno arrived care of writer Tony Giglio.

Death Race: Inferno – Convicted cop-killer Carl Lucas, aka Frankenstein, is a superstar driver in the brutal prison yard demolition derby known as Death Race. Only one victory away from winning freedom for himself and his pit crew, Lucas is plunged into an all-new competition more vicious than anything he has experienced before. Pitted against his most ruthless adversaries ever, Lucas fights to keep himself and his team alive in a race in South Africa ‘s infernal Kalahari Desert. With powerful forces at work behind the scenes to ensure his defeat, will Lucas’ determination to win at all costs mean the end of the road for him?

Luke Goss (as Carl ‘Luke’ Lucas) returns to the franchise along side  Ving Rhames (‘Piranha 3DD’), Danny Trejo (‘Machete Kills’) and South African stunner Tanit Phoenix (‘Lost Boys: The Thirst’)

Former Bros Man Luke Goss recently told Den Of Geek, ”I have to say that I’ve heard Paul Anderson (Director of the original Death Race and executive producer on the sequels ) thinks it’s the best of three, which is a good sign. I saw a lot of it the other day when I was in the ADR, and it’s really fucking cool, I really liked it!
