3D Back-to-Back Release from Lucasfilm of Ep II & III

The original plan was to release the 3D versions one a year but seems George Lucas has had a change of heart or is it money?
If the original plan was to release one every year then by the time Return of the Jedi came out it would have been the 40th anniversary of Star Wars. New coming out is that both Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith will be out in 2013 and back to back. The news came from the Star Wars Celebration VI convention.
Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith to be theatrically released in 3D back-to-back, September 20, 2013 and October 11, 2013 respectively.
So id this good news or bad news. I am glad they are speeding up their timetable.
