Help Fellow Geek Iz McAuliffe Raise Cash for The Stroke Association

Posted by geeksyndicate on September 20, 2012

Time to put your hand in your pockets for a great cause.

My good mate and fellow podcasting chum Iz McAuliffe aka Mrs Meanie is fundraising for The Stroke Association in memory of her dad. I’ll let Iz explain a little more why she’s doing this.

A couple of years ago I lost my brilliant Dad to a massive stroke – quite simply, I’d like to raise some money for the Stroke Association so that they can continue their research into saving lives, preventing stroke & ensuring that people make the best recovery they can.

I’m not allowed to run anymore cuz of my recently diagnosed arthritis, so i thought doing a speed-walk was better than nothing!

Any contribution will be very gratefully received & will help the Stroke Association keep doing the brilliant work they do

Thanks a million,

iz xx

To raise the cash Iz will be  doing a sponsored speed walk to see how many laps she can do in two-hour slot. The event will take place on 23rd September at Ponty Park in Wales.

Please check out Iz’s donation page and if you can spare any cash then please donate to this great cause. The current total is at £442.00 but I’m sure us Geeks can do our bit to get it past £500.00. So put your hands in your pockets people, spare what you can and lets help Iz out!

Best of luck to Iz on her fund raising venture!
