EA Offs Rebooted Medal of Honor Series

Following poor sales of Medal of Honor Warfighter and even poorer reviews, EA has decided to can its rebooted Call of Duty and Battlefield competitor franchise.
EA rebooted its perennial WWII shooter Medal of Honor in 2010 as a modern day combat shooter with its aim firmly set on going up against Activision Call of Duty main. The first game Medal of Honor came out to mix reviews but good sales. 2012 follow up Medal of Honor: Warfighter was panned by critics leading to poor sales.
EA COO Peter Moore, said that the game’s poor performance means that the publisher will not continue with the series.
“The game was solid, but the focus on combat authenticity did not resonate with consumers. Critics were polarised and gave the game scores which were frankly lower than deserved. This one is behind us now. We are taking Medal of Honor out of rotation and have to bring year-over-year continuity to our shooter offerings.”
EA still has its very successful both critically and commercially, Battlefield series to rival Call of Duty.

So, let me get this straight: It’s the gamers’ fault that it wasn’t well-received because they couldn’t recognize EA’s brilliance. The problem with the game was that the critics were “polarized,” not that the game sucked.
You know, I actually liked 2010′s reboot of MoH with the contemporary warfare aspect but screw EA.
