UPDATE #4: Comic-Con 2011 Tickets

If you’ve never been to Comic-Con in San Diego, it is an experience not to be missed! To that end, you should definitely grab your tickets as soon as they go onsale — they sold out ridiculously early for this year’s show and you don’t want to be one of the people left without a ticket – BELIEVE ME. Additionally, some special guests have already been announced such as:

  • Jo Chen: Award-winning cover artist for Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Runaways
  • Alan Davis: British writer/artist on such titles as Captain Britain, Excalibur and JLA: The Nail; currently artist on Avengers Prime
  • David Finch: Artist known for Cyberforce, Avengers, New Avengers, and Brightest Day covers; he’s now writing and drawing Batman: The Dark Knight
  • Dave Gibbons: British artist on the classic Watchmen comics series, and Give Me Liberty/Martha Washington; writer/artist, The Originals graphic novel
  • John Higgins: Long-time British artist on 2000 AD titles; colorist on the classic Watchmen comics series

Update as of Jan 26: I sincerely hope this is the last time I’ll need to update on ticket sale dates, for everyone’s sanity! Good luck to everyone attempting to purchase tickets!

Mark your calendar for Saturday, February 5th. That’s when Comic-Con 2011 4-Day passes go on sale at 9:00 AM Pacific Time (you can use this site to figure out the time where you are)!

Please note that 4-day Memberships with Preview Night are already SOLD OUT from being sold on site in July 2010 and check out the official Comic Con site for more information: Comic-Con 2011 Tickets & Information

And then they go and muck up the registration process, meaning we can’t get tickets at all!

It’s really ridiculous that an organization like Comic Con can’t get this registration down for the SECOND time! They should look to other big events like Glasto, to get it done. Yeesh.

Is there anyway of buying legit 2011 comic con tickets off of someone? whether that be me buying them there at the convention or buying them off someone before hand. im only looking for 3 tickets for the friday

      Hi Sean –

We’re not affiliated with any sales of tickets for SDCC but as I’ve gone to the con a few times, what I’ve seen happen is that SDCC will usually put up passes or pass packages a few weeks before Comic Con on eBay. That is the only legitimate way to buy passes at this point as all passes are sold out.

As returns are processed they may release more tickets but I believe folks have up until June 20th to request a refund and they do not sell tickets at the convention. Hope this helps.
