Pulp The Movie Trailer

So Dare Productions are finally able to show off their first feature film Pulp, which is the all about the adventures of comic creator Tony Leary and his mates.

If you watch the trailer closely, you’ll see that some of the scenes were shot at the  British International Comics Show.

I’ve already had a watch of the preview and it looks pretty funny with a couple of decent one liners (the one about the Saw movie being my fave). Swearing from the outset folks so consider yourself warned!

Pulp is the story of everyman Tony Leary and his struggle to make a success of his life.  Fighting against impending financial ruin as he tries to pursue his dream, Tony’s quest for success echoes the daily struggle of millions of people around the world.Withnail & I.  The Full Monty.  Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels.  Trainspotting.  The UK has a long tradition of successful offbeat comedies, which give international audiences an insight into eccentric worlds peopled by strange and unusual characters.  Pulp looks to continue that tradition with its authentic take on the heroes who create superheroes.  The men and women behind the comic books that have come to dominate popular culture.
Co-director and producer, Adam Hamdy, had the idea for Pulp in July 2010 while at Comic-Con San Diego.  Pulp is the culmination of years of real experiences at comic conventions, which has helped give the film a fun and authentic feel.  The first two days of the production were shot on location at the British International Comic Show.  The remaining thirty-three days of production were shot on location in and around Birmingham, Stoke-On-Trent, and Altrincham.
Infinite Finity. Thunder Racers. Rat Warriors. Junk Comics’s library of titles has been referred to as the ‘worst material printed since Mein Kampf’.  Tony Leary, the nice-guy owner of Junk Comics, is gearing up for one last roll of the dice. His new superhero title, The Sodomizer, launches at the British International Comic Show, and nothing will stop Tony from making it a success.  Nothing except a gang of Geordie criminals who are using another comic company to launder their dirty money. Tony is drafted by the police to identify the culprits and bring them to justice.  Aided by his trusty geek sidekicks, Rick and Keith, Tony must defy the odds if he is to become a real life hero.
