The Pimpernel: A Comic Adaptation of The Scarlet Pimpernel is on the way!

I’m a sucker for a swashbuckling tale and the tale of The Scarlet Pimpernel was one of the best.  I’ve never got around to reading the book I’ve seen a few of the film and TV adaptations (yes that includes Carry On Don’t Lose Your Head).

Until now I’ve never heard of anyone trying to adapt the story as a graphic novel which is weird as it seems like a good fit.

The Pimpernel graphic novel is being written by Doug Kissock. The art is by Jim Rodgers and it looks stunning and really captures that kind of adventurous vibe I would expect from this sort of tale.

I had no idea this was in the works but now that I do I’ll be trying to find out as much as I can about as it looks fantastic.

Head over to the website to see the art and find out more.

  1. I knew nothing about The Scarlet pimpernel beyond the name. Whenever I heard it, the name just made me hungry for some reason. This is the first time I’ve actually learned more! The site is great and I love the pic of the Pimpernel getting shot at from all angles. You don’t get more badass than that.

I have recently posted on eBay proofs from a EUROPEAN CLASSICS ILLUSTRATED version of the Scarlet Pimpernel I wrote about 40 years ago. It was published in Europe. These proofs are in English. Priced low. Restored by
computer graphics. I own the copyright on the script. But anyone interested can buy a copy of my restored proof in stark B & W.
