What is LARPs: The Series?

LARPs: The Series is a scripted web series that explores how the imagination of play affects reality, and vice versa.

Five twentysomething friends meet regularly to play in a LARP. We follow these LARPers through their normal lives and see the parallels between the game and the real world. In roleplaying games, it’s not uncommon to see romance, power struggles, and epic confrontations—how does that affect the lives of its players once they take off their armour?

There’s a comedy that’s unafraid to examine the world of LARPing without mocking it. LARPs isn’t about the game, but its players.

Elizabeth Neale (Shane): There’s humor, romance, combat, and a whole lot of heart. It’s the opportunity to laugh with LARPers and not at them.

Why Should We Pick This Up?

Elizabeth Neale: Check out some of our recent reviews!

WebVee Guide: “…one of the smoothest, best-acted and most entertaining series I’ve reviewed…”

“A good book or show needs more than detail, it needs characters. It needs drama. It needs dialogue. Luckily for us, LARPs has all three.”

“One heck of an ensemble performance.”

Atomic Moo“Funny and extremely well-produced”

Bloody Underrated: “Dearly written, clearly directed and crisply captured, this webseries is definitely one to check out! The characters were already well-defined and relatable with a very sharp cast bringing their skills and humour to this heartfelt project.”

Fanboy Comics: “I’ve never LARPed, and I still found the show cute and quirky, so I think that most anyone with a geeky hobby can relate.”
