Don’t Remember Dressing up as Your Fave Hero or Heroine as a Kid? Craig Davidson is Here to Remind you!

leiaIf you ever wondered how you can get geek themed art into your front room and under the eyes of a non geek friends and family then artist Craig Davidson may have the answer for you with his brilliant collection of fine art.

I’m not usually a man who ‘gets’ fine art but I know what I like when I see it. Artist Craig Davidson’s idea through his work to take us back to a time when we threw our anoraks over our heads and pretended to be superheroes is just too epic for words. The brilliant thing about this collection is that even if your not a geek or a die hard comic fan who wants paintings of DC or Marvel character on your wall then this is the next best thing. Also for those of you fine art geeks whose tastes don’t run to comics there are plenty of other iconic characters given the ‘When I was I kid I played as this…’ make over by Davidson.

This being fine art it’s not cheap but as someone who is now the proud owner of one of Craig’s pieces I can’t wait to see it framed and up in the living room rather than hidden away in my Office aka ‘The Hangar’ where all my geek related stuff is stored.

See if you can guess the characters from Star Wars, The Three Musketeers, A Man called Horse, The Great Escape, Batgirl, Batman and Robin, The Great Escape and The Bionic Woman as portrayed by their child counterparts.
