Vlogging is going straight to Hell. And you’re all invited. Welcome to Phillip Human.
Channel 4’s Spaced Katy Carmichael and popular vlogger Paul Neafcy star in a new horror comedy web series about a lost soul raised in isolation who embarks on a journey of realisation as he uncovers some of the gory secrets of his past. And it’s going straight to Hell.
Made by the YouTube generation for the YouTube generation, Phillip Human is a series of 10 witty and imaginative vlogs (broadcasting online/one per week) produced by Wildseed Comedy, dedicated to providing viewers with premium, original shows featuring the best new UK comedy talent, which viewers can watch on Wildseed’s Comedy YouTube channel. The show has been created by vlogger Paul Neafcy and directed by Wildseed Comedy’s Andy Mosse.
Poor Phillip Human. He’s a lonely, lost soul, raised in isolation and unusual surroundings, before the mysterious disappearance of his parents. Like a refugee from a gothic horror story, Phillip Human lives in a haunted mansion containing untold secrets and with little experience of the real world.
Ironically, he wants nothing more than to reach out to the modern world, to help people and make human connections. His attempts to do so are continually thwarted thanks to his disturbing appearance and lack of common ground with pretty much everyone.
Will Phillip Human ever discover who he is… and what he’s made of?
I got the chance to watch this brilliant comedy at the The Old Operating Theatre in London which really was the perfect setting for this. I highly recommend it, the comedy is a set of short episodes that slowly build the story leading to the spooky end – check it out now.
