GS at 10 Years: What GS Means to me Part 2 – Amy B

Geek Syndicate was a site I came across by accident. I saw a podcast that made me laugh with two guys genuinely loving what they were doing. That’s aspirational. So just on the spur of the moment I got in touch.

As with these things, spur of the moment decisions are often the best ones.

I can say wholeheartedly that Geek Syndicate has changed my life in more ways than I could ever have imagined.

Firstly, Director Nuge, what can I say! So patient and such a generous writing mentor. I have learned so much from some great feedback that is always volunteered constructively and graciously. To be welcomed so quickly into such a close group and to feel valued and part of something greater is unique in an ever more suspicious world and it is a genuine haven. Amazingly since I haven’t even laid eyes on most of the agents, I feel connected through a shared desire to explore every weird and wonderful universe and to make Geek Syndicate as great as it possibly can be.

Thanks to Geek Syndicate I have expanded my horizons in books, films and events. The unknown has become a safe place whether it was steeling myself for the first time to use my press pass ‘for real’ and interview celebrities at events or even just trying out a new genre sitting at home reading a book.

My passion for writing is even greater than it was before and I have found myself seeking out new opportunities with a confidence that has appeared as if by magic knowing I have a syndicate of agents supporting me ready with advice and guidance.

I wear my Geek Syndicate badge with pride, I am a part of something great, something unique, something tight knit but also somehow enormous and important. I am proud to be The Aviator.tor.
