2013-06-26 20.11.34On Wednesday night, The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror held their 39th Annual Saturn Awards in a beautiful ballroom in the hills of Burbank, California. Before the show, I got to talk to some of the VIP guests of the evening, including a man who needs no introduction in the world of science fiction, fantasy or horror; he’s done it all. It’s Mr. Joss Whedon.

Horror Movie (Cabin In the Woods). Another of Joss’ go-to guys was there as well, but not for the sole purpose of supporting his boss. Clark Gregg, who played Agent Phil Coulson in Marvel’s The Avengers (and was also in Whedon’s Much Ado About Nothing), was there to collect his award for Best Supporting Actor in a film.Joss was surrounded by many of his go-to actors on the red carpet. Everybody from Ming-Na Wen, to Amy Acker, to J August Richards was there in support of their beloved boss. Amy Acker and J August Richards presented Joss with his Saturn Award for Best

(Spoiler ahead) For those who have seen Marvel’s The Avengers, you know that Coulson was killed. Or, maybe not? After the movie was made, the powers-that-be decided to bring the wildly popular Agent Phil Coulson back to life so he could head the agents in the new television series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., which will air in the US starting this fall. This was great news for Gregg who loves playing Coulson.

I was lucky enough to get time with Joss Whedon and Clark Gregg before the award show. Both interviews can be seen in their entirety, below.
