Haven Makes Their Mark on SDCC 2013

137During the 2012 San Diego Comic-Con, Haven was the silent thriller, I feel. While they had a fantastic party as well as one of the most fun press rooms I’ve been apart of, they did not have a panel for fans, which meant that most people weren’t even aware that Haven made their mark on Comic-Con.

For 2013, Haven reinforced that mark and came back bigger and better. They had another highly successful party at San Diego’s Sidebar. The cast showed up to party with friends and fans. The drinks were free (and strong!), and the food was fantastic. It has become my favorite event at Comic Con, having gone both years. The Haven events at Comic-Con have become my favorite things to do during Con. I never have to worry about bumping into ego’s. Lucas Bryant, Emily Rose, and Eric Balfour love what they do and they genuinely love the fans that support them, and if you had the pleasure of running into them at Comic-Con, I’m sure you would agree.

Their press rooms this year topped last year, and I was so excited to see that they had a legit, bona fide panel at Comic-Con. The cast is made up of some of the nicest, funniest group of people I’ve ever had the pleasure of sitting down to lunch with, and I am so glad the cast got to share that with so many of their adoring fans. Beyond their panel at SDCC, they had a Conversation for a Cause at the offsite event NerdHQ. The panel was limited to about 250 people who bought their tickets so fast it sold out in just a few hours. The Haven conversation raised $5000 for Operation Smile. All of the NerdHQ’s Conversations for a Cause panels were live streamed on The Nerd Machine’s YouTube channel. If you were not one of the 250 lucky ones to see the Haven conversation live, you can check out how much fun it was below.
