It’s confirmed: Breaker of Chains, Mother of Dragons and badass Khaleesi, Game of Thrones‘ Emilia Clarke, has joined the cast list for the upcoming Han Solo Origins Story!
Announced late Friday evening by Disney, Emilia Clarke will be joining Alden Ehrenreich and Donald Glover in the next Star Wars film. We’ve known for a while that Ehrenreich and Glover will be playing Han Solo and Lando Calrissian respectively, but we’re not too sure about Clarke. There have been reports of the film testing for a female role that sounds like Sana Starros, although it’s not thought Clarke will be taking up this role. Disney have given zero information about the type of character she’ll be playing. However, we would LOVE to see her as a badass villain. Plus, Clarke can join a few of her GoT co-stars (Julian Glover, Gwendoline Christie, Jessica Henwick, Thomas Brodie-Sangster and more) and tick both Star Wars and Game of Thrones off the list of ‘Awesome Massive Things To Be In.’
The Han Solo film is set to hit the screen in 2018. What do you think of the latest casting choice and do you have any thoughts on who she might play? Let us know in the comments below.
