Carrie Fisher to Appear at Star Wars Celebration Europe

downloadPrincess Leia herself – Carrie Fisher – has been added to the guest list for Star Wars Celebration Europe, which this year takes place in Essen. They’re certainly rolling out a lot of love for the classic Trilogy since the Disney buy-out!  Full release after the cut.

The original princess with an attitude, Carrie Fisher, is confirmed to appear at Star Wars Celebration Europe this July 26-28 in Essen, Germany. Princess Leia Organa in the original Star Wars trilogy, Fisher will be greeting fans and signing autographs in the Celebration Autograph Hall.  In addition, she is scheduled to appear on the main Celebration stage for an interview and question and answer session with celebrity host, Warwick Davis where fans will enjoyentertaining straight talk on a wide number of topics.

“I’m always excited to do anything that has to do with Star Wars. It’s an opportunity to travel with my metal bikini and not take the opportunity to wear my metal bikini. Especially for Germans, the last group of people I’d want to offend, metal-bikini-wise,” said Carrie Fisher.

Fisher was 19 years old when she became a cultural icon as Princess Leia in A New Hope. Her film career started when she was even younger, playing opposite Warren Beatty in Shampoo in 1975. She is the daughter of actress Debbie Reynolds and singer Eddie Fisher. In addition to A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi, Fisher has performed in numerous movies and television series, including memorable appearances in The Blues Brothers, The Man with One Red Shoe, Hannah and Her Sisters, The Burbs, When Harry Met Sally, Austin Powers, HeartbreakersFanboys, Sorority Row, Angela as Mon Mothma inFamily Guy, and in her own television specials, including the autobiographical Wishful Drinking.
