Edgar Wright Set to Appear at MCM London Comic Con

Edgar Wright  fans you may want to get your butts down to the MCM London Comic Con (24-26 May), as the man in question will be stopping by to say hi on the Saturday.

The director will be a guest of honour at the show to promote his new film ‘World’s End’ starring the comedy dream team that is Simon Pegg and Nick Frost amongst others (yes we can see you Martin Freeman).

Hmm I wonder if he will be bringing any footage of the film along with him?

Hit director Edgar Wright is to be a special guest at this month’s MCM London Comic Con, show organisers have announced. Wright (Shaun Of The Dead, Scott Pilgrim) will be attending the Saturday of Europe’s largest comic con to promote his upcoming movie, The World’s End.

Starring Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Martin Freeman, Rosamund Pike and Paddy Considine, The World’s End sees five childhood friends set out to recreate an epic pub crawl of their youth. Convinced to stage an encore by mate Gary King (Simon Pegg), a 40-year-old man trapped at the cigarette end of his teens, his reluctant pals once again attempt to reach the fabled pub – The World’s End. But as they try to reconcile the past and present, they realise the real struggle is for the future; not just theirs but humankind’s. Reaching The World’s End is the least of their worries…

In addition to The World’s End, Edgar Wright helmed breakout zombie comedy Shaun of the Dead,  action comedy Hot Fuzz and critically-acclaimed comic book adaptation Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, as well as much-loved slacker sitcom Spaced. He is currently working on Ant-Man, a movie starring Marvel Comics’ diminutive superhero.
