DVD Collector Notes:

Ugh! Where to start?

The first thing that threw me off was the prices. There is no way they’re going to move any units with those prices. No one will fork 29 for a single disc. Maybe 25, but not 29.

And the content just doesn’t justify the price either. You’re buying a movie with five to seven featurettes. For some ungodly reason, the big movie studios thinks ten thousand featurettes are going really bring in the “collector dollar”. It isn’t you gits!! You could instantly take you stupid ten minute clips and make them into a documentary, a featurette and an interview with the director. You can use the rest of the space to do a couple commentaries, that way, people will buy the DVD knowing they’ll get their money’s worth. There should be a biblical commandment making excessive featurette use as shameful as masturbating.

Not all of it is bad. I like the idea of the picture in picture visual diary. I think it should be part of the 2 Disc SE, but if you can do it with only the blu-ray, it’s perfectly understandable.

If I were going to buy this movie…I’d look or wait for a reduced rate before I’d buy it.
