Harrison Ford: “I’d Do Blade Runner 2!”

I’m still against the idea of a sequel and this doesn’t help!

Maybe he really enjoyed making Ender’s Game, or the reality of what THE cult classic Blade Runner is, or maybe he’s relishing the prospect of returning as Han Solo in Star Wars, but Harrison Ford has done an about turn on the film he turned his back on over 30 years ago.

According to a video interview on IGN, Ford still clearly has a lot of respect for original director Ridley Scott, saying that he’d happily re-team with him for a sequel.

“Yeah, we’ve been chatting about it,” admitted Ford, “I truly admire Ridley as a man and as a director, and I would be very happy to engage again with him in the further telling of this story.”

Firstly – don’t make a sequel, don’t make a prequel, don’t remake it – there are few films in the genre that have aged as well as Blade Runner… very few! Secondly, bringing back an aging Ford puts the kibosh on whether or not Deckard is a replicant. Thirdly… has anyone seen Prometheus?
