Sam Worthington to Star in Commando Remake

First off, WHY do we need a commando Remake! the first one is awesome!

So Apparently Sam Worthington is in talks to Replace Arnold in the remake of the absolutely awesome 1980’s movie Commando!

Sam is apparently very interested, and director David Ayer (Street Kings, Harsh Times) will helm and pen the script, which will be a “real world” spin on the main character, retired elite special forces operative who sees his daughter kidnapped and is told she’ll die unless he gets on a plane and kills the rival of a nasty exiled dictator.

With David Ayer on board it has the makings of being a good action film.

Here is the Original trailer which is full to the brim with poorly delivered classic one liners:

  1. I completely agree, why bother? It’s not as if Commando is a hugely bankable name like say Rambo or Die Hard. Why not just make a new franchise with Mr Worthington? Maybe it’s to stop anybody else getting their hands on The Commando brand, but that’s a longshot as until just now I’d never even thought of it as a brand. Now a direct sequel, I’d be all over that.

Ok imagine this! Arnold’s Character is Kidnapped by Terrorist he pissed off 30 years ago and his daughter, again played by Alyssa Milano) who is now a crack CIA operative has to go rouge to rescue dear old dad!

      I’d watch that
