SCOTT PILGRIM – released on Blu-Ray and DVD on 27th December with 5 hours of bonus footage

Despite most of geekdom raving about the film when it was released I never got around to watching it or reading any of the comics. I’m still not sure about it but now that all the fuss and hype has died down I think I’ll be giving it a look see.

Fans of the film may be interested to know that director Edgar Wright will promoring the DVD/Blu-Ray launch at Forbidden Planet on Thursday 30 December 17:30 – 18:30 you can get more details on that here.

Synopsis:
Meet charming and jobless Scott Pilgrim (Michael Cera). A bass guitarist for garage band Sex Bob-omb, the 22 year old has just met the girl of his dreams…literally. The only catch to winning the elusive, mysterious Ramona Flowers (Mary Elizabeth WinsteadDie Hard 4.0, Grindhouse: Death Proof)? Her seven evil exes are coming to kill him.

Scott Pilgrim has never had a problem getting a girlfriend. It’s getting rid of them that proves difficult. From the girl who kicked his heart’s ass – and now is back in town – to the teenage distraction he’s trying to shake when Ramona rollerblades into his world, love hasn’t been easy. He soon discovers, however, his new crush has the most unusual baggage of all: a nefarious league of exes control her love life and will do whatever it takes to eliminate him as a suitor.

As Scott gets closer to Ramona, he must face an increasingly vicious rogues’ gallery from her past-from infamous skateboarders to vegan rock stars and fearsome identical twins. And if he hopes to win his true love, he must vanquish them all before it really is game over.

Get the hot girl. Defeat her evil exes. Hit love where it hurts.
