Top film mercenaries

Predators- the latest offering from Robert Rodriguez and a bold new chapter in the Predator universe- hits UK cinemas on the 8th July.

Shot under the creative auspices of Robert Rodriguez, it stars Adrien Brody as Royce, a mercenary who reluctantly leads a group of elite warriors who come to realise they’ve been brought together on an alien planet… as prey. With the notable exception of a disgraced physician, they are all cold-blooded killers – mercenaries, Yakuza, convicts, death squad members – human “predators” that are now being systemically hunted and eliminated by a new breed of alien predators.

Inspired and excited, we take a look at some of the best mercenary characters of the last 30 years…

His primary concern throughout the film is acquiring a large diamond that one of the enslaved workers has discovered, and Danny wastes no time in befriending and helping him go on the run, his only intention being monetary gain despite the African’s desperate plight.
