EGX is just over a month away and the playable games list is ever expanding. Players will be able to experience an open world, dystopian America ruled by North Korea in Homefront: The Revolution. In addition to being playable, the game’s developers will also be on hand to deliver a dev session on Friday at 15:00.
Team 17 will also be attending the show with The Escapists: The Walking Dead, Worms WMD, Strength of the SWORD: ULTIMATE , Sheltered and Penarium. In the case of Worms and Strength of the Sword, this will be the first time they are playable in the UK.
In Hardware news, HTC‘s Vive will be available for hands-on sessions – for the first time in the UK. Players can expect: “a full-featured, 360° room-scale VR experience” according to Valve. I think the Vive is perhaps the fore-runner in the current Virtual Reality “war” and am really looking forward to giving this a go. Yep, I’ll brave the queues for it!
So there you have it. Yet more reasons for gamers to head down to Birmingham between 24 and 27 September.
See you there.
