Gran Turismo 6 demo available now on PSN

Gran_turismo_6Publisher Sony and developer Polyphony Digital have released a demo for their upcoming Gran Turismo 6 squeal that is now available on the PlayStation Network.

The demo guides players through a series of events in a GT Academy-themed driving school before unlocking a final event at Silverstone. Completing the challenges will earn gamers free bonus content for the full  game is released later this year. Cars in the demo are limited to a small sample of Nissans, including the Leaf, the 370Z and the GT-R.

The  demo marks the start of Sony’s GT Academy 2013 tournament, where GT plyers around the world get to compete for a spot on a real-life racing team. The best times set in the demo will help players qualify by posting their best Silverstone lap time to the game’s leaderboards.

The GT Academy competition will run from today until July 28 and the demo will remain live until August 31.

The demo clocks in at approximately 1.1 gigabytes.

Gran Turismo 6  brings new levels of authenticity to the Real Driving Simulator as well as introduces stunning new tracks and cars and a revised user interface.
