Nintendo Reveals Major Q4 Releases for Wii U & 3DS

Super-Mario-3DAlthough the 3DS has a wealth of games for it, the Wii U has been short of some big franchise and 3rd party games. This is all set to change this Autumn with several of Nintendo’s big name characters such as Mario, Zelda and Donkey Kong all getting game releases – as well as 3rd party games like Call of Duty: Ghosts and Watch Dogs. 

Here’s the full release schedule, which also includes third party software release dates: European releases have not been confirmed but I am confident all these games will also be released in European the same week as in the US.

Wii U

  • The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD – Sept. 20 (downloadable) and Oct. 4 (packaged) – $49.99.
  • Wii Party U (bundled with a Wii Remote Plus controller and stand) – Oct. 25 – $49.99.
  • Super Mario 3D World – Nov. 22 – $59.99.
  • Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze – Dec. 6 – $49.99.
  • Wii Fit U – this holiday season.
  • Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games: – this holiday season.

Third-party titles:
