PC Specs for BioShock Infinite Announced

Bioshock InfinateIrrational Games have revealed some specs and details for the PC version of their upcoming highly anticipated and PC gamers can be assured they wont be getting the poor red-headed stepchild of the console version.

Graphics wise, six different graphics pre-sets will be available, from “Very Low” to “Ultra,” providing a wide range of quality-versus-performance options. If those options aren’t for you there is a custom setting that will allow gamers to tweak anti-aliasing, texture detail, texture filtering, dynamic shadows, post-processing, light shafts, ambient occlusion, and object level of detail. Many of these options have setting levels that are only available under DX11. Being PC they game will have full-resolution textures with the downside being a 3 DVD install that is required.

Gamers will be able to play with a PC compatible gamepad or the classic keyboard an mouse combination. The game pad offers three separate controller layouts (Default, Marksman, and Retro), each of which support loads of configuration options including ones for left handed players

Bioshock Infinite will be available via Steam and for those than want the best of both worlds in the power of PC gaming with the comfort of playing games on a large screen TV while lounging on a sofa, the game will support Steam’s Big Picture mode.
