Sony Unveils Revised Smaller PlayStation Vita

PS Vita 2000Sony has unveiled a new version of its PS Vita handheld gaming console at this weeks  Tokyo Game Show


Dubbed the PS Vita 2000, The new handheld is 20% thinner and 15% lighter than earlier models, is available in six different colours, has a battery life of about six hours and 1GB of on-board memory is now included. The OLED screen has been replace by a standard LCD screen which helps reduce the cost of the new system. The six colours are white, black, grey, blue, yellow and pink.




It will be released in Japan on 10th October and will cost ¥18,980 (£122).

No Western release date has been confirmed.

Reports say that both the standard and value bundles are currently listed as out of stock on Amazon Japan despite only being listed just earlier this week.
