Sleeping Dogs Awaken in Definitive Edition

Square Enix have today released a trailer for the forthcoming Sleeping Dogs Definitive Edition. This release is the latest in the run of re-released titles that have become the trend over the last couple of years.

I’m on the fence with this one. Sleeping Dogs was a great game and while I would love to re-visit Hong Kong, I’d prefer a proper sequel rather than the same (albeit excellent) story. The Definitive Edition includes all twenty-four of the Downloadable Content packs that were released for the game on the last generation – including the two campaigns: Nightmare in North Point (ZOMBIES!) and Year of the Snake which sees the protagonist as a beat-cop.

Sleeping Dogs: The Definitive Edition will see release on October 10th in Europe and October 14th in the USA for PC, Xbox One and Playstation 4 platforms.

Here’s the 101 trailer that will let you know everything you need to about the updated game. Now I just need to make up my mind how much I want to re-play the game, which is (after all) my favourite city based sandbox game ever …
