Strategy – The Table Top Gaming Event Launches

Tabletop gaming has just grown and grown each year and we really only have a few major events in the UK but now the team behind the MCM EXPOs have launched their newest venture just for us gamers. Strategy!

I regularly attend the MCM EXPO’s and always have a great time and you can slowly see each year tabletop games presence grow and grow and seems like the organizers have noticed this and decided to expand on the idea. The event will debut at the Telford International Centre on 25-28 August.

Brought to you by MCM Central, the company behind the hugely successful MCM London Comic Con and other top pop culture events, Strategy offers table top gaming a superb platform to reach out to worldwide consumer visitors and industry.

Positioned after Gencon Indy, Strategy provides an ideal opportunity for a European platform to showcase upcoming games and new releases. The show will feature board games, card games, miniatures games and roleplaying games – plus dedicated tournament and playing space. All in a 24-hours-a-day show opening Thursday and running through to Sunday evening.

Plans are also underway to include panels, special events and live evening entertainment for visitors wishing to make Strategy a weekend to remember. More news and announcements will be available via our website and social media platforms over the coming months – please see the links below.

The new show will be run by games industry veteran Rob Hooley, who joins MCM from Konami Europe, where he was events manager for their hugely successful Yu-Gi-Oh! card game. Rob has also worked as an events/brand manager for Tomy and as organised play manager for Upper Deck International.

Sounds like we have something special  to look forward to.
