Versus Evil Partners with 4gency to Launch Habitat

Indie publisher Versus Evil has teamed up with indie game studio 4gency to bring their game Habitat: A Thousand Generations in Orbit to Xbox One, PC, Mac and Linux.

The game is set in high orbit above a decimated Earth. The player must sift through and recycle the masses of floating debris and space junk to create a suitable and safe base. Once the player has their foot on the first rung of the survival ladder, enemies and other threats will appear to test their abilities in resource management and military strategy. Behind all of this maneuvering is the prospect of finding out just what happened to the Earth and finding out just what you need to do to help humanity survive.

“We first saw Habitat at GDC.  Our team immediately loved the concept and how passionate 4gency is about their game.  Once we played it we were hooked. Habitat will offer gamers a unique space survival experience quite unlike anything else, and we are thrilled that 4gency wants to work with us” – Steve Escalante, General Manager of Versus Evil.

Habitat: A Thousand Generations in Orbit looks like it will certainly be an interesting game to play. Humanity always seems to get itself into some serious scrapes. I guess it says something that we love to play games where the goal is to get us out of them.
