Advert Break – Hero Tomorrow DVD On Sale Today

Hero Tomorrow is the culmination of a multi year effort by two longtime friends Ted Sikora (director, co-writer, co-producer) and Milo Miller (co-writer, co-producer,) who had a vision to create a movie that merged their affection of comic books and independent films.

The duo spent over six years working on this project in various capacities (writing, storyboarding, casting, shooting, and finalizing post production) as they held down day jobs. Neither had ever made a narrative film, and the crew had no more than five days of set experience combined. What they did have was a punk-rock kick-in-the-tail attitude towards formulaic corporate super-hero movies.

The film premiered as a rough cut at Comic Con International in 2006, and continually evolved over the past three years as it played festivals all over the world – everywhere from Italy to Brazil, Montreal to Texas, NYC to Santa Fe, and many places in between.

On November 1st, Hero Tomorrow will screen as one of only 10 feature films at Sidney’s Fantastic Planet Film Festival. Other feature screenings at the fest include the Australian premiere of Zombieland, the world premiere of Eraser Children and the 1961 Czech classic Baron Prasil. It’s amazing company for this small flick from Cleveland, and an incredible way to end an terrific festival run.

The Hero Tomorrow DVD comes loaded with over four hours of material including:

  • The brand new final version of the film with a new musical score.
  • “The Making of Hero Tomorrow” – 24 minute documentary featuring interviews with 14 cast and crew members, deleted scenes, and bloopers.
  • “Soundtrack Who’s Who” – 20 minute montage that introduces you to HT’s incredible music artists while showing alternate takes and bonus scenes.
  • Auditions
  • Cast and crew bios
  • Concept art Commentary track and much more
