Alien Isolation DLC Will Feature Sigourney Weaver and Original Alien Cast

Developer Creative Assembly has announced that gamers who pre-order Alien: Isolation will receive a special DLC pack based on Ridley Scott’s original 1979 film Alien.

The DCL will feature character likeness and voice acting from the original cast such as Sigourney Weaver (Ellen Ripley), Tom Skerritt (Dallas), Veronica Cartwright (Lambert), Harry Dean Stanton (Brett), Yaphet Kotto (Parker) and Ian Holm (Ash, likeness and sound-alike).

The DLC  comprises of  two missions that will recreate key scenes from the film. Players to take on the roles of either Yapphet Kotto’s Parker, Tom Skeritt’s Nostromo captain Dallas or the film’s iconic heroin; Sigourney Weaver’s Ripley.

The first, called ‘Crew Expendable’, allows players to choose between key crew members and takes place moments after Brett’s death, with the aim being to lure the alien into the ship’s airlock.

The second, ‘Last Survivor’, sees Ripley trying to escape the Narcissus by making her way down through the Nostromo to activate the self-destruct. This second piece of DLC will only be available via a select retailer in the UK who has not been confirmed.

The game’s creative lead Alistair Hope said.

“Working with the original cast has been an incredible experience. It was important to us to have the key original cast members reprise their roles in order to perfectly capture the atmosphere of the movie. For some of the original cast, this is their first appearance in an Alien video game. Seeing them reprise those roles after 35 years was an unforgettable experience.”

Alien: Isolation is due for release on 7 October on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC and last-gen consoles.
