AUTUMN OF INDIE: CD Comics Announce New Ongoing Comic

The rise in digital distribution has been a boon for small publishers who can get the word out more easily and sell their products digitally to their customers without having to worry about physical production and all the additional distribution expense and margin erosion that it entails.

This usually means more comics, cheaper, direct. CDComics publish exclusively in a digital format, and have just announced a new on-going title.

Following on from the success of their other digital download comics, Sheffield independent comic company CDComics has produced a new ongoing title Carnacki & Hannay.

Issue One: The Plague Village

Carnacki the Ghost Hunter returns and teams up with secret agent and James Bond prototype, Richard Hannay.

In September 1665 the village of Eyam in Derbyshire, England suffered an outbreak of plague and during the following fourteen months it killed almost two thirds of the population. Exactly, three hundred years later UFO’s are spotted over Eyam and the next morning Jenny Taylor wakes up to find that the rest of the villagers have disappeared.

Jenny contacts the Police, who inform MI6 and they call in the army and send in their best agent, Richard Hannay.

Due to the extraterrestrial nature of the abduction Dick White the Head of MI6, also sends for Thomas Carnacki, a private investigator whose speciality is the paranormal. Miss Emma Dodgson, an Oxford, Mathematics and Science graduate is Carnacki’s assistant and the three investigators are faced with an unexplained abduction on a massive scale.

This 34 page full colour comic tells the story of their combined investigation as history, science and the occult clash in 1965.

The comic is available to download from Amazon priced £1.53 UK, $2.99 US or 2.60 Euros. For more information please check out the pages and posts at www.cdgraphicnovels.blogspot.com
