As any gamer can probably tell you, the latest Batman game – Arkham Knight – is due for release on 23 June 2015.
Today, we heard from our bat-chums over at WB Games that in celebration of the launch, an exhibition will be opening in London celebrating the Dark Knight. The exhibition features re-works of the Cape & Cowl made famous from replicas of various Batman costumes.
Here’s the official lowdown of the exhibition:
WB Games UK has teamed up with twenty of the most exciting contemporary artists and media celebrities to celebrate the launch of Batman: Arkham Knight with a new exhibition reimagining the Caped Crusader’s iconic Cape and Cowl headpiece.
Using life-sized replicas of Batman’s famous costume as a blank canvas, each artist and celebrity will produce their own unique interpretation of the Dark Knight’s attire. Featuring celebrities from the worlds of TV, film, music and fashion, such as Jonathan Ross, Jodie Kidd and Noel Clarke and high profile artists such as Nancy Fouts, Lauren Baker, Hayden Kays, Inkie, Pam Glew, INSA, The Connor Brothers, Zeus, Matt Small, Jon Burgerman, Case, CRASH, Lucas Price, Kid Acne, Logan Hicks and Pure Evil, the exhibition will run through launch week in an immersive Gotham City-inspired location in Central London. Details of how to secure tickets to this event will be confirmed in due course.
Attendees at this week’s MCM Expo in the Excel centre in London will be able to catch a sneak preview of some of the items that will be on display over at WB Games’ stand from 22 May to 24 May. This is in addition to the previously announced life size Batmobile (as featured in Arkham Knight) that will also be at the stand. I have to wonder at this point if there’s room for the company’s staff!
I’ll be heading down to MCM on Sunday and will be sure to stop by the stand to check out the offerings. How about you guys?
