BFI Goes Gothic in 2013

bfi_logo_bw_555px1-150x150With films ranging from ‘monstrous & ghoulish’ chillers to adventures to romantic horror, a chance to both catch up with old favourites and get freaked by new ones, 2013 looks set to be the year for horror fans!

The season will include a four month BFI season at the Southbank, restorations from the archive, DVD releases and a book. The BFI is bringing gothic to not just London but the whole of the UK with a special screening event at Derry-Londonderry. In the summer there will be a variety of outdoor events and weekenders at historic places nationwide. Then as we get to autumn and it starts to feel a bit more creepy, there will be a four month overview of films from both the small and large screen.

‘We look forward to taking you to the darkest places of cinema – dripping with blood, fuelled by lust, filled with dread’. – Heather Stewart (Creative Director)
