‘Bitten’ Finishes Filming First Season

r-LAURA-VANDERVOORT-BITTEN-large570Fans of the paranormal and of werewolves will have another treat in 2014 in addition to shows like Teen Wolf or The Originals. The Canadian show, Bitten, which stars Smallville alumna Laura Vandervoort will begin airing on Space in January.

The show is adapted from the book series Women of the Otherworld by best-selling author Kelley Armstrong and follows the adventures of the world’s only female werewolf as she is drawn back to her pack after trying to run away to a more normal life.

Shooting for the principal photography in Hespeler, Canada, ended on August 28th. Now all that remains to be seen is if the five months of intensive shooting will yield results with good ratings for Space. For werewolf fans, hopefully it will.

Recently in an ETalk interview at the 2013 Fan Expo, Vandervoort gave away her secret for getting into her werewolf character (“You don’t shave”). She also showed off her bruises from onset fights and remarked that, “It’s totally worth it.” Hopefully, come January, fans of both the books and paranormal television agree.
