Colin Morgan says Huge Changes Coming for S4

It’s been a busy morning for Merlin’s Colin Morgan as CultBox and Virgin Media spoke with the lead actor about what to expect in Series 4 (that we confirmed last October will be airing later this year) and a new attraction opening at Warwick Castle next month, 2011 looks set to be a great year for Merlin fans.

About the Warwick Castle attraction: “Visitors are going to get the chance to interact with the sets from Merlin, they’re recreating Gaius’s chamber and you cast spells in there, then you actually can come face to face with the great dragon himself. It’s hugely exciting for myself to be working on the show for so long and now visitors will get a chance to experience it all for themselves. It opens on April 16th.”

About Series 4: “There’s huge changes for Merlin in Series 4. I’m not sure how much I can say as we’ve literally only just got the scripts! But I think it’s clear that Camelot is heading in a new direction and the characters’ arcs are starting to take their place.”

About a Crazy Uncle for Merlin: “I’ve always said I’d love Bill Bailey to be like Merlin’s crazy uncle or something like that, I think that would be great. But if I were to go really out there and pick anyone that I could ever want, I’d probably want Paul Newman to be a wise sage to Merlin or something like that. Although there’s no chance of that happening now.”
