Comic Artists Support Lakes International Comic Art Festival With Lake District Inspired Postcards

The Lake District is already a wonderful place, scenic and beautiful and full of the wildlife that you would expect to see roaming the fair lands of the English isles. It was also inspiration to many authors and artists, from Beatrix Potter to William Wordsworth, and now, to a group of talented comic illustrators in the guise of the “Wish You Were Here – Postcards from the Edge of Reality” collection.

Drawn by some of the biggest and most well-known names in comic art, the images have been donated to support the efforts of the not for profit Lakes International Comic Art Festival, along with charity Comics Literary Awareness (CLAw). The artwork will be auctioned in London later this year with the proceeds going to CLAw in their bid to improve childrens’ literacy via the medium of comics and graphic novels.

Most of the artists involved will be visiting the Lakes International Comic Art Festival which will take over the whole town of Kendal for a weekend from the 16th to the 18th October 2015.
