DC Despatches: Arrow, Wonder Woman (in Batman vs Superman)

11 DC

Whether it’s Warner Bros, The CW or the DC stable themselves, here are the world-wide mutterings!

Is Jaimie Alexander the new Wonder Woman, and will Arrow spin-off another show (apart from The Flash)!

Wonder Woman: While confirming her appearance in (and the existence of) Thor 3 at Stan Lee’s Comickaze convention, Jaimie Alexander revealed that she might well be in the frame to play the template female super hero(ine). Forbes film blogger Mark Hughes quickly tweeted from the panel, “Jaimie Alexander has been having “conversations” with Warner Bros/DC. She also knows things about Batman Vs Superman‘s story. Do the math… #Comikaze13”. I never post photos on this blog usually, but in this case, I’m making an exception for Jaimie!

Arrow: The CW are reportedly developing Justice Society of America member Hourman for his own TV series, possibly to spin-off from Arrow (if not the Flash). Michael Caleo (The Sopranos) is to write and executive produce with Dan Lin and Lin Pictures’ head of television, Jennifer Gwartz, for Warner Bros Television. Hourman first appeared in Adventure Comics #48 (March 1940) – Rex Tyler, a chemist who discovered a wonder drug which gives him an “Hour of Power” that grants him 60 minutes worth of super strength, speed and endurance. Well… an hour long certainly makes it perfect for TV!
