Doctor Who Series 6 Mid-Series Cliffhanger …

In this month’s Doctor Who Magazine, show runner Steven Moffat drops some hints as to next year’s two-block series. Amy Pond’s story-arc is not over yet, it seems as the mid-series cliffhanger is centred squarely on her. Click MORE to reveal more information the nature of the cliffhanger, but bear in mind this could be seen as a bit spoilery. Though it is from Moffat’s own pen.

In his words:

The calamitous and, frankly, shocking events at the climax of episode seven will still be ringing in your ears when Doctor Who returns in the autumn for a further six episodes… You’ll see The Doctor’s life change forever. You will gasp at the true nature of his relationship with Amy and cry out in horror as Rory Williams stumbles to the brink of a tragic mistake.

The guys over at Den of Geek offer a couple of speculations as to the nature of this cliffhanger. I’m adopting a wait and see attitude.

My mind is set at ease in one regard. I’d half feared we’d be losing an episode and having two blocks of 6. Fortunately this is not the case.
